The Human Rights City Alliance, in cooperation with various community partners, led work to host annual gatherings of housing justice advocates to promote networking, coordination, and learning about the forces contributing to housing inequities and unaffordability and how we can work together to build a powerful movement for housing and racial justice. The first "Annual" Housing Justice Summit was held at the University of Pittsburgh in 2024. This event built upon prior work by many of the same activists and networks that have come together to fight displacement and promote community control over housing in our region.
